A World Cup Cross Country track for everyone

It is a track that has made history: the World Cup Cross Country track in Lenzerheide. From now on, it can be used not only by professionals, but by everyone. The track remains permanently open and will not be rebuilt as in previous years. 

The Bike Region Lenzerheide counts around 500 kilometres of signposted bike tours, to which now a few more kilometres are added - and what for! This is exactly the route that was used by the world's best mountain bikers from 9 to 11 August 2019 during the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. It's that cross-country track that has been filled with sweat and tears by the liter and where Nino Schurter celebrated his career highlight last year at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships.

242 vertical meters and 4.1 kilometers have to be conquered. The crisp climbs let the pulse race upwards, the technical descents hardly let you relax. The mostly natural course with the typical World Cup highlights like the Lenzerheide Cliff or the Dual Slalom are still part of the course. However, the race track is also good for children. The south loop in the forest crosses the main connection between Lenzerheide and the mountain railways again and again. This means that individual sections can be skipped without having to tackle the entire loop directly.

The two reigning Cross Country World Champions Nino Schurter and Kate Courtney as well as the other team members Lars Forster and Andri Frischknecht rave about the race track in Lenzerheide. Thanks to the partnership between Lenzerheide and the Scott Sram MTB Racing Team, the team members spontaneously agreed to the video shoot. The video was shot during the week of the event, when Nino Schurter finished second in the XCO World Cup race a few days later.
